Terence joined Global Switch as Managing Director, Singapore in 2023 with around 20 years of business and general management experience focusing on cloud, security and networks.
Prior to joining Global Switch, Terence was Managing Director – Asia-Pacific at Zenlayer Inc. (an edge computing and software defined network provider) where he led the Sales, Engineering and Operations teams. Before this, Terence held various leadership roles during his 16 years at Tata Communications, where he grew their data centres, enterprise, service providers, hyperscalers and media entertainment business in APAC.
Terence holds a Master’s degree in Communications Software and Networks from Nanyang Technological University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from National University of Singapore. In 2023, Terence also completed GCP - Global CEO Programme, a Diploma jointly awarded by The Wharton School and IESE Business School.
Terence is responsible for managing both of Global Switch’s data centres in Singapore. Global Switch Tai Seng is one of Asia-Pacific’s best-connected buildings and the only data centre in the region with direct access to multiple major international sub-sea cable systems.
Global Switch's second data centre, Singapore Woodlands is located to the north of the island. The 25,000 sq m data centre provides multiple connectivity options to Tai Seng’s dense ecosystem, is LEED Gold certified and has an independently verified PUE of 1.34.
