Martin Miklosko

Martin joined Global Switch as Commercial Director, Europe in 2020 with over 15 years' experience in real estate valuation and investment, and was promoted to Group Director, Commercial in 2021.

Career

Martin has extensive experience in real estate valuation and advisory and is a recognised expert on the valuation of data centres as a real estate asset class. Before joining Global Switch, he established and successfully grew CBRE’s specialist data centre valuation team the first of its kind in the industry, and subsequently also led JLL’s EMEA data centre valuation function. During his time as a data centre valuer, he advised a range of operators (including Global Switch), investors and funders on issues such as acquisitions, financial reporting, funding and investment as well as stock exchange listing and divestment. During Martin’s career, he also headed up the City office valuation team at CBRE and the cross-border valuation team at Colliers.

Martin has a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Durham, and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Responsibilities at Global Switch

Martin leads the Commercial team with responsibility for the analytics and underwriting that supports all revenue-generating activities, together with processing associated approvals. This includes customer related activities such as new contracts, renewals and contract restructuring; and strategic capital projects such as site acquisitions, new developments, and the redevelopments of existing data centres. His other responsibilities include the collation and analytics of Global Switch’s performance data pertaining to sales and revenue, the production of periodic KPIs and responding to queries relating to commercial performance from a wide range of stakeholders. He is also responsible for managing and delivering the Group’s Investment Property valuation.
