Dave joined Global Switch in 2021 as Group Director, Information bringing over 20 years’ industry experience and a proven track record of running enterprise-level transformation programmes and managing global scale operations.
Dave’s most recent role before joining Global Switch was Chief Information Officer across EMEA at VMware, a large US cloud computing and virtualisation technology business, where he was accountable for IT delivery across over 40 countries. Prior to that, Dave was CIO for the Corporate Functions, Research and Development and UK and Ireland at Unilever where he had overall accountability for the delivery of IT. He also held other roles at the company including Global Digital Services Director where he transformed the Unilever digital portfolio, as well as Global Head of IT Audit and Programme Director where he brought the UK and Irish businesses together and lead the relocation into a new single Head Office.
Dave is responsible for the delivery of all global information and technology operations at Global Switch and for our digital strategy. He works closely with a variety of stakeholders across the company, to maintain and continuously improve the company-wide integrated information management systems to underpin business operating standards, processes, procedures and certifications. Core to this is driving our powerful business intelligence agenda to inform strategy and unearth opportunities across the Group. He also oversees information and cyber security across Global Switch, ensuring that the security of our systems and data remains paramount.
